15 years ago, Artscape set out to help anchor the arts community in the West Queen West neighbourhood. Since then, we have embarked on a number of initiatives to increase Toronto’s capacity to support the growth of local culture. Today, Artscape is making a significant investment to renovate the 75,000 sq. ft. Shaw Street School structure and transform it into Artscape YOUNGplace, with the scope of work estimated to be $13. The Artscape Foundation, Artscape’s registered charity needs to raise $5M to complete the Centre.
TAKE PART and support the development of space for theatre training, a centre for dance and performance, papermaking skills programs, community-based multi-media workshops, arts training for youth, music education for amateurs and professionals, and family resources to support the local community.
