Seema Jethalal, RPACC Managing Director, Named A DiverseCity Fellow.

Seema Jethalal, Managing Director of the Regent Park Arts & Cultural Centre, has been selected as a 2012 DiverseCity Fellow.

As one of twenty-eight rising leaders in the new cohort, Seema will participate in a one-year leadership development and network-building program that aims to harness the potential of a diverse cross-section of leaders so that they can address the challenges that lie ahed for the greater Toronto Region.

This year’s group comes from the business, arts, health, non-profit and government sectors across the Toronto region and many hail from across Canada and around the world. While they were selected for their track records, the Fellows will enhance skills critical to developing their leadership and will make connections to decision-makers and other rising city-builders over the course of the year. Ultimately, they will collaborate to jumpstart initiatives of their own design that will tackle an issue facing the city. “This is a group to watch,” says John Tory, Co-Chair of DiverseCity. “They’re bringing solutions and new perspectives to the increasingly complex issues facing our city region.”

"I'm beyond excited to work with twenty-seven other emerging city-builders this year", says Seema," The group is made up of incredible people from all backgrounds and experiences - graphic designers, urban planners, financial analysts, social housing consultants and more. I'm looking forward to putting our heads together to come up with some really innovative solutions to pressing issues facing Toronto".
