Having lived in a beautiful city close to the natural beauty of the world for most of my life, I was shocked when I moved here three years ago to find Toronto so visually unappealing and so distant from nature. I struggled to find a way of seeing beyond this environment, and finding a way to represent it in a new way. These urbanscapes are both a literal representation of the city and a metaphor for deeper thought and reflection.
