Space connects people and ideas. It motivates artists and organizations to pursue their genius. It anchors culture in communities, which in turn attracts residents and businesses, and it helps generate the content that raises our quality of life and makes Toronto a vibrant and sophisticated society.

Invest in the City You Love: Helping to Seed New Artscape Initiatives

For 25 years, Artscape has pioneered what many are just starting to realize. Sparking creativity and innovation requires the right conditions. By creating affordable and sustainable spaces, networks that encourage collaboration and educational offerings that expand thinking, we help culture flourish in our lives, our neighbourhoods and our economy. But for every project we complete, there are many more we turn down for a lack of resources.

Today, Artscape has six new projects currently in development in neighbourhoods like West Queen West, the Junction Triangle and the Entertainment District. We’re working on the adaptive re-use of the historic Shaw Street School, the creation of a small theatre venue at Adelaide and Widmer Streets, and two downtown artist live/work projects. We’re also actively exploring a number of mixed-use developments including a new centre for creative sector entrepreneurship and cultural hub projects in priority neighbourhoods.

Empower youth in Regent Park through the ARTSPARK PROGRAM

The ARTSPARK PROGRAM empowers Regent Park and area youth to play an active role in developing programming and events. The committee engages youth aged 11 to 25 in conceiving and producing arts and cultural events, exhibitions, festivals and other projects with guidance from leading industry mentors. This hands-on educational initiative provides valuable life lessons in teamwork, and exposes young people to career paths in the arts.

Help unlock the potential of Regent Park youth and grow the generation of cultural impresarios by making a contribution to ARTSPARK today.

We invite you to join in our vision, our success and our leadership. Together, we will create the kind of city that becomes the envy of the urban world.
